The Up of Down:
An Insight Into the World of Down Syndrome
Since 2007, Alexander's Angels regularly organizes panel presentations free of charge hosted by local colleges and businesses to acquaint the community with different aspects of Down syndrome. It invites representatives from other Down syndrome organizations. Panels include, among others, psychologists, researchers, educators, and self-advocates.
In 2019 a conference on the progress of Down syndrome research became part of The Up of Down: An Insight Into the World of Down Syndrome.
A self-advocate is an essential component of this activity.
During the pandemic we had virtual events, including a conference, but have returned to live events.
